BIBOB beim 10. Internationalen Biber-Symposium in Inverness
Inverness, Schottland – 16. bis 19. September 2025 – BIBOB-Projektteams nahmen am 10. Internationalen Biber-Symposium teil, das von der University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) in Inverness veranstaltet wurde.

The Symposium brought together about 150 people from around 23 countries, to exchange knowledge and research results about ecology and the management of bibern as well as their role in the ecosystem dynamics. Bei dieser Veranstaltung, two colleagues from the BIBOB-Projekt auf dem Symposium. Torsten Heyer (TUD) presents a poster that focuses on cross-border research on the management of biber dams and its contribution to climate change strategies. Aleš Vorel (CZU) gave a talk on how wolves affect beavers in the Bohemian Switzerland and in the Šumava National Park. CZU is the first team investigating the relationship between wolves and bibers in Europe.
